Play Memory Match Puzzle Online – Free Memory Game for Kids
Memory Match Puzzle is a free memory game for kids that families can enjoy together. Flip two tiles, remember what's on them, and find every matching pair until the board is empty. With three different modes, it works for a preschooler playing their very first matching game and for a grown-up looking for a real challenge. It runs in your browser on a computer or tablet, with nothing to download.
What Is Memory Match Puzzle?
It's an online version of the classic card-matching game many of us played at the kitchen table. All the tiles start face down. Each turn you reveal two of them. If the pictures are the same, the pair disappears. If not, they turn back over, and you have to remember where each picture was hiding.
What makes this version special is the choice of modes. Kids can play calmly with no timer, work through levels that slowly get bigger, or race the clock when they're ready for more.
How to Play
- Choose a mode: Levels, Time Attack or Relaxing.
- Flip two tiles. Click or tap any two tiles to turn them over.
- Look for a match. If both pictures are the same, the pair is removed from the board.
- Remember the rest. If they don't match, they flip back, so try to remember where each picture is.
- Clear the board. When no tiles are left, the level is complete.
The 3 Game Modes
| Mode | How it works | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Relaxing | No timer and no pressure, just find the pairs at your own pace | Toddlers, preschoolers and first-time players |
| Levels | Each new level adds more tiles to match | Kids who are ready for a step-by-step challenge |
| Time Attack | Clear every tile before the time runs out | Older kids and grown-ups who like a race |
Controls
On a computer: click a tile with the mouse to flip it.
On iPad or a tablet: tap a tile with your finger.
That's all there is to it, which makes it easy for little hands.
Tips to Find Pairs Faster
- Go row by row. Flipping tiles in order makes it easier to remember where things are.
- Say it out loud. Naming each picture ("cat, top corner!") helps the memory stick.
- Use what you know. If you've already seen the match for your first tile, go straight to it.
- Don't rush in Time Attack. A wrong guess costs more time than a short pause to think.
- Start small. Begin in Relaxing mode, then move to Levels once finding pairs feels easy.
What Kids Learn
- Short-term memory: remembering where each picture is hiding.
- Concentration: staying focused until the last pair is found.
- Visual attention: spotting small differences between pictures.
- Patience: learning that careful guesses beat fast ones.
- Confidence: every cleared board is a small win kids can be proud of.
Tips for Parents and Teachers
| Age | Suggested mode |
|---|---|
| 3–4 years | Relaxing, with a grown-up nearby |
| 5–6 years | Relaxing, then Levels |
| 7+ years and adults | Levels and Time Attack |
- Play together. Take turns flipping one pair each. It's a great family game.
- Talk about the pictures. Name colors, objects and animals to build vocabulary.
- Keep it short. A few rounds is plenty for younger children.
- Use it in class. On a smartboard, the whole class can shout out where they think the match is.
